Zak is one of the most exciting young fast bowlers in the country. His raw pace sees him as a genuine wicket taker and he’s also a great athlete in the field.
He has featured in both the Under 17 and Under 19 National Championships for both the Cricket Australia XI and Vic Metro. In 2017, he starred for Australia in an Under 19 series against Sri Lanka where he claimed 12 wickets - three four-wicket hauls - in four matches against the tourists. Later that year, Zak received a rookie contract with Victoria at the age of just 17.
In 2018, Zak opened the bowling for Australia who eventually came runners-up in the 2018 U19 World Cup in New Zealand. He also earned himself a Big Bash contract with the Melbourne Renegades and then debuted in 2020. Later that year, he made his Sheffield Shield debut for Victoria against South Australia.
