Lachlan is the current Senior Assistant Coach of the Victoria Men’s Cricket Team and the Melbourne Renegades.

He has been a Cricket Australia Level 3 coach for 12 years and previously held positions as the Head Coach of the Western Australian Warriors as well as the Perth Scorchers.

He was also an accomplished first-class cricketer as a left-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spinner. A Queensland colts and youth captain, Lachlan played his first Australian domestic game for South Australia in 2002-03 after moving to Adelaide for work.

A job at the Academy as the high-performance co-ordinator allowed him to return to Brisbane and he made his Sheffield Shield debut in 2004-05. Lachlan made his maiden first-class century against Western Australia at the Gabba. He was also part of Queensland's record-breaking Sheffield Shield final victory in 2005/06.
