Jeff Riseley is a middle-distance athlete and four-time Olympian, having represented Australia at the Beijing, London, Rio and Tokyo Olympic Games. He is a six-time Australian Champion and is the current Oceania and Australian Record holder in the 1000m.
Competing over 800m and 1500m means lots of lonely training on the track, clocking up thousands of kilometres in the process, but Jeff wouldn’t have it any other way. He just loves to run.
The passion and hard work paid off when Jeff became the first athlete in 24 years to win the middle-distance double (800m/1500m) at the 2015 Australian Championships and he hopes to use his experiences on the track to inspire and empower others to make the most of their talents.
Jeff made a resurgence in 2021, where he once again qualified for Olympic Games at the age of 34. In Tokyo, he broke through into the Olympic semi-finals for the very first time finishing 5th to add to an already stellar career.
