Jake is one of the most talented and destructive young batsmen in the country.
In 2018, Jake represented the U16 Australian team in a series against Pakistan in Melbourne. In the same year, he dominated the U17 National Championships scoring 425 runs at an average of 53.12. This included 177 against Vic Country off just 113 balls. As a result, he was rewarded with selection as well as the captaincy for the Cricket Australia XI which competed in the U19 National Championships in Adelaide.
For BBL08, he was brought in as a replacement player for the Melbourne Renegades at the age of just 16. Not long after he was promoted to the primary list for BBL09 and also earned himself a State contract with Victoria. Later in 2019, he become the 3rd youngest Victorian debutant in history when he was selected to play against Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. He also represented Australia in the 2020 U19 World Cup in South Africa following the U19 National Championships.
Later that year, Jake made his debut for the Melbourne Renegades in BBL10 against the Perth Scorchers.
